1. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF ACTIVITIES

I acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in outdoor, hunting, fishing, recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities organized or facilitated by TVO USA (TXVet Outfitters) (“TVO”). These activities may take place on private or public land and may include, but are not limited to:

• Hunting and fishing activities

• Use, handling, or presence of firearms, archery equipment, and other weapons

• Outdoor travel over uneven or undeveloped terrain

• Exposure to wildlife, livestock, insects, weather, and natural hazards

• Transportation to and from activity sites

 

2. ASSUMPTION OF RISK

I understand and acknowledge that outdoor and hunting-related activities are inherently dangerous and involve risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken. These risks include, but are not limited to, serious bodily injury, permanent disability, death, and property damage.

I knowingly, voluntarily, and expressly assume all risks, both known and unknown, associated with my participation in TVO activities.

 

3. FIREARMS & WEAPONS ACKNOWLEDGMENT

I acknowledge that hunting and related activities may involve the use or presence of firearms, bows, crossbows, knives, and other weapons.

I certify that: - I understand basic firearm and weapon safety rules; - I agree to follow all safety instructions provided by TVO staff, volunteers, guides, and landowners; - I will handle all weapons responsibly and in compliance with Texas law; - I understand that violation of safety rules may result in immediate removal from the activity.

 

4. TEXAS HUNTING & FISHING LICENSE REQUIREMENT

I acknowledge that Texas law requires a valid hunting and/or fishing license for participation in hunting or fishing activities.

I certify that: - I possess, or will obtain prior to participation, all required Texas hunting and/or fishing licenses and endorsements applicable to the activities in which I participate.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR VETERANS:
Most U.S. military veterans are eligible for a FREE Texas “Super Combo” Hunting & Fishing License annually through the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, subject to eligibility requirements.

 

5. MEDICAL FITNESS

I certify that I am physically and mentally capable of participating in these activities and that I have no medical condition that would prevent safe participation. I agree to inform TVO staff of any relevant medical conditions or limitations.

I authorize TVO to obtain emergency medical treatment on my behalf if necessary, and I accept full financial responsibility for any such treatment.

 

6. RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by Texas law, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue TVO USA (TXVet Outfitters), its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, landowners, ranch owners, partners, agents, and representatives from any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of action, damages, or liabilities arising out of or related to my participation in TVO activities, including those caused by the ordinary negligence of the released parties.

 

7. INDEMNIFICATION

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the released parties from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from my actions or omissions during participation.

 

8. RULES, REMOVAL, AND TERMINATION

I agree to comply with all rules, safety briefings, landowner requirements, and instructions. TVO reserves the right to remove me from any activity for unsafe behavior, rule violations, or failure to comply with instructions.

 

9. GOVERNING LAW & SEVERABILITY

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

 

10. ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND SIGNATURE

I HAVE READ THIS AGREEMENT CAREFULLY, UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS, AND SIGN IT VOLUNTARILY. I UNDERSTAND THAT BY SIGNING THIS DOCUMENT, I AM WAIVING CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS.
